Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the purpose and responsibilities of a Fire Watch Specialist.

• Identify situations that require a Fire Watch.

• Recognize common fire hazards and ignition sources.

• Conduct systematic 30-minute fire watch patrols and inspections.

• Detect and report unsafe conditions, smoke, heat, or fire.

• Verify that fire exits, evacuation routes, and firefighting equipment remain accessible.

• Demonstrate proper communication and emergency notification procedures.

• Implement appropriate emergency response and occupant evacuation procedures.

• Complete accurate Fire Watch logs and required documentation.

• Understand applicable fire codes, regulations, and client requirements.

• Maintain professionalism while protecting life safety and property.

• Successfully demonstrate competency through a written final examination.
