Marissa Scarano is a transplanted Canadian into the musically fertile soil of the USA. Growing up she was the only violinist in a highschool of 1200 but studied privately under the Royal Conservatory of Music.
College lead her to the States where she fell even more in love with her instrument playing with many bands in coffeeshops, pubs and churches. She spent time in Nashville working as a studio and gig musician.
After meeting and marrying her husband, the amazing music program in Ipswich put her on track exploring the best part of music - giving the gift of music to others! Marissa has been teaching in Ipswich for more than 10 years and has started more than 500 young string players during that time… including her own three children.
