Bri Rodriguez was a member of the Varsity Girls Soccer team all four years of her high school career, and by the end of those four years she truly left her mark in a program that has seen their fair share of success. Bri Rodriguez will go down not only as one of the most successful girls soccer players in school history but one of the most decorated girls soccer players in the state of Illinois! From 2006 to 2009 Bri Rodriguez was a four-time recipient of the following awards; All-Conference, IHSSA All-Sectional, IHSA All-State, All-Area Beacon New, All-Area Naperville Sun, All-Area Chicago Sun-Times, All-Area Daily Herald, and NSCAA All-Regional member. In 2007 and 2008 Bri was recognized as the Daily Herald, Beacon News and Naperville Sun Player of the Year. In 2008 Bri Rodriguez was recognized as the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year and the NSCAA National High School Player of the Year. In 2009 Bri was recognized as a Parade All-American. Bri Rodriguez’s name is also all over the WVHS Girls Soccer Record books, she currently holds the school record in assists (71), 4th in goals scored (33), and 3rd overall in points (159). In addition to all of her individual accomplishments, Bri Rodriquez was a part of teams that were some of the most successful teams in school history. During her time at WVHS Bri’s teams finished with an overall record of 92-6-10, 3 UEC Conference Championships, 3 IHSA Regional Championships, 2 IHSA Sectional Championships, 2 Super-Sectional Championships, & 2 IHSA State Championships! After graduating from Waubonsie Valley, Bri took her talents to West Virginia University where she excelled both on the soccer field and in the classroom. Her accomplishments at West Virginia included: 2009- Big East All-Rookie & All-Tournament Team, 2010- All-Big East Team, NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team, & voted team MVP, 2011- MAC Herman Trophy Watch List, 2012- NSCAA Scholar All-American. Bri Rodriguez is currently the Coordinator of Athletics Development at the University of Pacific in Stockton California.
