For sketchbook #3, we will be using colored pencils. Although there are many similarities with drawing pencils, colored pencils do provide new challenges and techniques. This presentation will show a day-by-day guide to what we are covering in class.

• Shaded Analogous Sphere

You will create a colored pencil drawing of a bird.

• Choose an image from the file.

• Use a template to draw the size into your sketchbook.

• Sketch the bird in pencil.

• Use colored pencil techniques to color the bird.

• Continue to use observation skills, look for the small details.

• Be sure to use layering and blending.
