The focus of sketchbook #1 will be on basic pencil drawing skills, This includes observational skills, visual measurement, words of comparison. Along with these skills, we will practice sketching, shading and blending skills with various drawing pencils. This presentation will show a day-by-day guide to what we are covering in class.

• Line Worksheet

• 10 Box Value Scale

• 2 Shaded Spheres

• CHOOSE ONE: Cube, Pyramid, OR Cylinder

For this project, you will choose an image for the center. Using skills learned in sketchbook #1, you will sketch and shade the drawing. Then you will use shading and blending techniques to create values "waves" around the drawing.

Sketchbook #2 will continue with learning pencil drawing skills with an emphasis on facial features and proportions. This presentation will show a day-by-day guide to what we are covering in class.
