Owen Technology Help
Adapted from: Dawn Vieira - Librarian at White Eagle Elementary
Welcome Owen Families!
We are so excited for another year in the LMC! Like previous years, all students in 1st-5th grade will be bringing Chromebooks home and back to school every day. If your child is having some sort of issue with his/her Chromebook at home, please just have your child tell his/her teacher the next day at school what the issue is and his/her teacher will let me know so I can resolve the issue as soon as possible.
If you ever need any help or see something missing on this technology help resource, please don't hesitate to reach out for guidance or to let me know what is needed. Working together we'll provide the best experience for our Owen Owls. We are all in this together!

My Student Just Got a Chromebook, Now What?
Plug in the Chromebook and let it charge for 30 minutes to an hour. Sometimes Chromebooks that have been sitting have an extremely low battery and need time to recharge before the Chromebook will even turn on.
Review our Owen Chromebook Slideshow with your child. This was presented and shared with your child at the beginning of the school year.
IMPORTANT: Please keep all food and drinks away from Chromebooks and encourage your child to wash his/her hands each time the Chromebook is being used. We love to keep our Chromebooks shiny and clean.
Log in using your student's District 204 credentials.
Your student's username is their first name + first three letters of last name + last four digits of ID number (ie: tomsmi1234 for the name Tom Smith)
Your child was given a label with his/her username/password at the beginning of the school year. If he/she misplaced it or you need help, you can find both the username and password in your ParentVue account.
