In the Third Grade Project Arrow Advanced Academic Program, emphasis is placed on literary analysis and interpretation, linguistic competency, listening and oral communication skills, reasoning skills, and concept development. Third grade Project Arrow students investigate and study the system of language, its structures, and its functions. Students read and use advanced reading selections and multimedia to reason through situations, think critically about content matter, and focus on making connections to overarching issues, themes, and concepts centering on the interdisciplinary concepts of change and systems. Students engage in this process using the Literature, Vocabulary, Reasoning, and Research models. This process seeks to elevate students’ understanding of themselves, others, and the world
