This year, due to the high numbers in 4th grade Project Arrow, we will have a PA teacher, Mr. Keith Ferrell, coming from Gombert at the end of the day to teach another section of the class. Students in Ms. Chapple's class and Mrs. Kroll's class will be with Mr. Ferrell. Mrs. Kerner will have students from Mr. Miller, Mrs. Rodriguez, and Mrs. Retzler. We are SO lucky to have this resource and I am so excited to teach alongside Mr. Ferrell this year!

Students will engage in a year-long investigation of complex literature and advanced literary nonfiction. The selection of texts includes poems, short stories, articles and novels and are centered around the concept of change. Students will interact with the texts in a way that will lead to self-knowledge, personal growth and a positive, useful relationship with society and the world.
This inquiry-based investigation of literature is aligned to advanced grade level Common Core Standards. In addition, there are conceptual connections between the regular 4th grade curriculum and the 4th grade Project Arrow curriculum.
