Music and Dance:
- The Sinaloan band: This is a musical genere characterized by its lively and instrumentation, which includes trumpets, saxophones, and drums.
- The tamborito: This is a traditional dance performed in pairs and accompanied by drum and flute music
Parties and celebrations:
- The Grape Harvest Festival: It is celebrated in September and commemorates the grape harvest in the Culiacán valley.
- The Feast of Our virgen de Guadalupe : It is celebrated in December and is one of the most important festivities in Sinaloa.
Traditional Clothing of Sinaloa – Short Summary
Sinaloa’s traditional clothing was created in the 1950s–1960s for folkloric dances.
Women wear colorful, layered skirts with lace blouses, while men use charro or cowboy outfits with boots and hats.
Styles vary by region, and today these costumes are used in cultural events and folkloric performances across the state.
