This Fall, Olson Elementary will hold its first ever Read-A-Thon! Our Read-A-Thon is simple, safe fundraiser designed to reinforce good reading habits while raising funds to support the Ione E. Olson Elementary PTA.

Due to our current circumstances under COVID-19, the allocation of funds are somewhat different than years past. Allocation to include - though not limited to - upcoming events:

· Teacher Supplies Reimbursement

· Virtual Paint Night (Date TBD) Family Engagement Giveback Event - supplies to be provided,

· Halloween Spooktacular Drive-Thru Family Giveback Event,

· National PTA Reflections promotion supplies,

· Charitable Toy Donations during holiday season,

· National and California State PTA dues, PTA Board training and PTA general supplies.

Fundraiser contributions uses typically include - but are not limited to -

· Teacher Supplies Reimbursement,

· Assembly Costs,

· Olson Reads Program,

· Kindness Week,

· Anti-Bullying Week

as well as Community Give Back Events, such as –

· the Penguin Patch Student Holiday Shoppe,

· The Fall Festival

· Charitable Toy Donations during holiday season;

And finally, National and California State PTA dues, PTA Board training and PTA general supplies.
