Iona Prep Junior Service Project

This website is designed for students to learn more about the requirements for their junior service project and to see opportunities that will be posted periodically on the following pages.

During their junior year, Iona Prep students will need to complete a junior service project. Students will choose a specific area of concern to focus all of their service on during the school year. These projects should focus on serving the marginalized/ undeserved populations or other issues related to human rights. For example, if a student is interested in serving those affected by hunger and/or homelessness, then he may choose to complete his service next year at a location such as Hope Community Services, Neighbor to Neighbor or a similar meal program or food pantry. Another example - if a student is interested in environmental issues, they might choose to complete their service with the Greenburgh Nature Center. (See Timeline Below):

Any questions regarding the project should be directed to Mr. D'Alfonso at sdalfonso@ionaprep.org
