Traditional Science Fair Backboard

Traditional science fair backboards can be used to display student projects. We ask that these backboards have the following dimensions and that they can remain standing without additional support:

    • Maximum width: 3 feet

    • Maximum depth: 15 inches

    • Maximum height: 6.5 feet

Performance / Live Demonstration

Performances or live demonstrations can be used to illustrate the Cause and Effect of a STEAM related topic. We ask that the performance time be limited to 15 minutes.

Digital Display

Projects can be displayed using technology. For example, students can create a website, digital comic book explaining a scientific phenomena, or an animoto video to illustrate parts of a computer or simple machine. The possibilities are endless!

A physical display of your project can include a model (2D or 3D) or backboard of any type, such as the peg board pictured below.
