Current FAQ’s

Who will the Intrepid Games be for?

We are currently running this for emergency services which include -

Police, Fire, ambulance and Coastguard.

as this is a fairly new initiative and we have done the research, we may extend this further depending on the take up at the application stage.

What is the criteria?

This will be aimed at -

-Those that have been injured on duty. Mentally and physically.

-Those who are disabled within the services.

-Those that have served - no fixed service time necessary.

We will consider every application, criteria isn’t always one size fits all!

*If you have served in the armed forces, the Invictus games already supports the armed forces. We want to run this initiative alongside the amazing work that they do. If you have served in the emergency services and been injured as a result of that service then we will welcome you. If you became disabled also during your service this will be for you too.

How can I get involved?

- Get the word out there. Sharing means someone who may need support may see this taking place. Sharing the word may mean a sponsorship.

- We will need sections of the UK covered with representatives. Those that can get the word out amongst their peers, to research local clubs to be a part of. To fundraise.

To become part of the team when the event organisation stage happens! Volunteers for the event itself when it happens!

-Sadly for some it’s often that once you’ve left the job it can be the last time you’ve heard from the job unless you make contact yourself. So we need people to reach out to those who left due to disability / injury and get the games to them.

-Fundraising. Like anything events cost money. Maybe organise something small to begin with. Every penny counts and the more we can raise the more noise we can bring about this event!

This will cover arena costs, volunteer expenses, participants expenses And services at the event. For sustainability Funding streams are being sought! More doors will open when registration with the charity Commision has been finalised.

Thank you. We will endeavour to update these as and when the need arises!
