Our Catalogue
The International English Library’s book collection is substantial. We are proud to host a fine mélange of renowned classics, the latest bestsellers from across global literature, and an extensive selection of non-fiction titles; all published in English! We also carry an enormous selection of DVDs and a growing collection of other media.
Our online catalogue is there to assist you in navigating our collection and checking if we have a specific title you may be after. Simply type in the title of the book -or the author’s name – and in one click, you will know if we have it in our collection. All our DVDs and other media are also listed and searchable in the catalogue.
You can also use our online catalogue to
manage your account
view the full list of your borrowed items
check the due return date
extend loans for another cycle if necessary. Please note, that you can renew your books twice beyond the initial month loan period, (unless another member has placed a hold on the item), after which they will need to be physically returned to the library. Unfortunately it is not possible to extend DVDs, Coursebooks and other media online.
If working with an electronic catalogue is not your cup of tea, we would be very happy to help you. Please call us during our opening hours, or send us an email, and we can check the catalogue or extend your books for you on your behalf.

Yes, we are always working on extending the online options for our patrons – it’s a work in progress! Alternatively, if you wish to place a book on hold you can also call us during our opening hours, or send us an email, and we will happily reserve it for you.
If the book is already on loan to another patron, we will inform you as soon as it’s returned and reserve it for you to collect for one full week from the date we notify you. Please note, borrowed books that are placed on hold by another patron are not able to be extended.
Can I request a book that you currently don't have in the collection?
You can certainly try! While we are proud of our substantial literature collection, we are aware it’s not exhaustive, and we welcome suggestions and requests.
We frequently source new titles and if your request is approved, we guarantee that you will be the first to have access to it!
Can I borrow your magazines?
Yes! You are certainly welcome to borrow any back editions of our magazines! The current editions however remain on our shelves for your perusal whilst in the library. You can find a list of the titles we hold near the magazines or simply ask one of our helpful deskies.
