About the International English Library
We are the only public English library in North Rhine-Westphalia, with a selection of over 21,000 publications from classic to contemporary literature. Learn more on Our catalogue.
The library was established in 1946 by the British Occupation - learn more about our history. We are now run by an international team of passionate volunteers and host many events.
You’re always very welcome to pop in and chat with our volunteers; about a favourite book, film, or perhaps why they choose to spend their time at the library!
