Sandy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and daughter in addition to being a friend to many. She was loving, kind, and generous. She was a great listener and gave wise counsel. She led by example and was thoughtful about the causes that she supported. Fond memories from her children include how Sandy would sing them to sleep, bake goodies for their birthdays, share good book recommendations, and give the best hugs. Memories from others carry impressions of grace, kindness, patience, and genuine loving charm.
Sandy was always a light in her family’s life and her light was felt by all around her. Throughout her life, Sandy served others in many capacities. The majority of her adult life she served as a pastor, and she also worked in the service industry. Later in her life, she and Doug had dreams of merging the two but Sandy did not live to see those dreams become a reality. In everything she did, Sandy put serving other people above all.
Thank you for your love and support as we go through this difficult time. Sandy will be dearly missed - may her memory be eternal.
