Hello! I am a Registered Psychotherapist and EMDR-trained clinician with extensive experience treating individual adult survivors of complex trauma & PTSD. I'm also co-director of the Integrative Healing Clinic, where I provide clinical supervision for Registered Psychotherapists, RP (Qualifying) CRPO registrants, and Counselling Psychology graduate students.
My approach to therapy is integrative and grounded in Relational-Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Attachment-Focussed Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy modalities. I have completed over 100 hours of EMDRIA-approved Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy training, and I further incorporate Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Polyvagal approaches into my work. My practice is strengths-based, person-centered, experiential, relational, and pulls from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy interventions and techniques. While I work with a wide range of client concerns, I have particular expertise in treating complex developmental, relational, and attachment trauma, as well as challenges related to anxiety, codependence and self-esteem.
In supervison and consultation, I offer a warm and accepting space to reflect, grow, and deepen your work with clients using a trauma-informed approach. With curiosity, compassion, and a sense of humour, I aim to help you reflect on the role of transference and countertransference in your work; ground client conceptualization in theory; and deepen clinical insight in places where you feel stuck. If you're hoping to build trust in your clinical intuition, move beyond surface-level interventions towards more process-oriented work with clients, and embrace a more relational approach to client wellness, I’d be honoured to support you in your journey. If you're curious about fit and would like to connect, feel free to reach out by email (nisha@integrativehealingottawa.com) to book a free 30-minute video consultation.
As a queer, South Asian, cis woman with ADHD, I understand and value how our lived experiences and intersecting identities shape our practice. I use an anti-oppressive, culturally informed, and feminist lens in my work, collaborating with people of all genders, sexual orientations, and neurodivergent identities.

Education & Training
I completed my Honours Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Applied Psychology at Bishop’s University (Quebec). For my undergraduate research thesis, I collaborated with newly arrived Middle Eastern families with refugee backgrounds to assess their access to physical and mental healthcare. I went on to complete my Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa, and entered the field as a therapist in 2019.
I've completed 72 hours of comprehensive basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with the EMDR Centre of Canada, followed by an additional 30 hours of EMDRIA-approved advanced training. I further expanded my therapeutic approach by completing 60 hours of professional development in Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, including 30 hours of comprehensive basic training with the IFS Institute (Online Circle). I've additionally completed 30 hours of directed and self-led learning in providing clinical supervision. In an effort to continuously learn from the best in the field, I engage in monthly professional development to ensure that the services I provide remain as evidence-based and up-to-date as possible. I am an avid reader and a lover of learning!
Today I co-run the IHPS clinic where I offer clinical supervision and facilitate regular training seminars on the conceptualization and treatment of complex trauma. I offer both internal and external supervision to Counselling Psychology graduate students as they navigate common challenges of the profession including imposter syndrome; work-life balance; professional boundaries; documentation; ethical decision-making; professional identity development; and Safe and Effective Use of Self. I value burnout prevention and appreciate the opportunity to help new therapists to the field build sustainable practices and protective strategies early in their careers.
