Reflection

In general, I enjoyed GEP implementation and overall I think it was a very enriching experience, both for students and for me.

However, I realise that learning English is more difficult than learning any Chemistry content.

I decided to spend more time in Linguistics and interaction activities such as Dictogloss and Jigsaw activity to ensure that my students were really acquiring new vocabulay and skills.

Another important point to consider is that first of all they did not want to study Chemistry in English and they made use of Catalan when speaking spontaneously. At the end of the project some students affirmed that they realised to know more English than they thought previously , and as a result they were all really excited about putting into practice their already English and got new vocabulary through the study of Chemistry.

To sum up, GEP requires extra effort, energy, creativity and time!!
