Developed from a dairy farm, Linnet Clough is an all year round Scout activity camp.
Accommodation is provided in a range of dormitories and bunk rooms.
There is a large field for armoured and rapier fighting, separate breakfast/lunch and feast halls,
a full modern kitchen, and ample indoor areas for A&S pursuits.
It is situated on the Derbyshire and Cheshire border, close to the towns of Marple and Stockport.
Manchester is 12 miles away with a direct train service from Marple.

Getting There
General Map
From the M60… Take junction 26 (if southbound) or 27 (if northbound) onto Portwood Roundabout. Take the A626 south, then east, signposted Marple. Follow for 5 miles through Marple. After Marple Station turn right at the traffic lights at the Norfolk Arms into Town Street. Follow this road for 1.5 miles then turn right into Gibb Lane opposite the Devonshire Arms. Take the right fork after the houses and the right fork again at the golf club car park, ignoring the track down to the club house. Linnet Clough is at the bottom of the hill on the right.
From the A6, BUXTON & WHALEY BRIDGE… Take the A6015 at Newtown towards New Mills. At the traffic lights turn left on to the B6101. At the mini roundabout turn right onto New Mills' main street. After about 1 mile, at the White Hart (on right), take the left turn into Mellor Road. Follow for 2 miles, through Mellor village then turn left into Gibb Lane opposite the Devonshire Arms. Take the right fork after the houses and the right fork again at the golf club car park, ignoring the track down to the club house. Linnet Clough is at the bottom of the hill on the right.
