Volos

In the mobility to Volos we gathered all the created films concerning the agreed topics as following: Traditions, History of Art, Architecture and Street Art. A film festival was organized at “Porfyrogenis” institution in Agria, where the work so far of all schools involved was presented. 

Since the visit to Greece would be focused on environmental issues, there was a study visit at the “Natural History Museum of Meteora & Mushroom Museum '' in Kalambaka and a daily trip to Meteora. 

Moreover, there was a cultural trip to Makrinitsa and a study visit to the “Environmental centre of Makrinitsa”, where the participants took part in the environmental program concerning the “paths and herbs” of mountain Pelion.

In order to have a glance at the local history of the area, we also visited  “Kontos House/museum of Theofilos”, where paintings at the theme of “life in nature” of the significant painter Theofilos are exhibited.

Students and teachers attended lessons at school in the fields of history, philosophy, ICT studies, physical education, social sciences and religion. 

That wise we could hopefully have managed an improvement of students’ skills and competencies in Multiple Intelligences based on Blended teaching, CLIL and collaborative teaching.

Concluding, there was also a study visit to the University of Thessaly and a lecture at the “Department of Planning and Regional Development” at the subject: “Landscape and Man to Nature relationships in Greek coastal territories and Islands” by Apostolos Lagarias, Assistant Professor.

We have had several moments of  togetherness, so that all students had the opportunity to spend time together and deepen their sense of European citizenship.
