THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS
Every year at Christmas time in my town, Barberà del Vallés, there is a huge christmas market. However, this year because of covid I wasn’t sure if there was going to be one. But one day I was going to buy some fruit and I saw it! I saw all the lights and the smell from all the food coming out of the Christmas market!
Loads of people think it is just a market and food but for me it’s more than that. For me it’s tradition, it’s family and it’s happiness. This year’s theme was the Nutcracker and the music was amazing. Personally one of my favourite shops there was the one that had all types of cupcakes and every kind of sweet.
This year I thought it was going to be different because of the situation that we live in, but honestly, the good thing about Christmas is that nothing can make it disappear.
Everyone was smiling, therefore everyone was having such an amazing time. Not just because of the things that they were buying , but the atmosphere of the place. As if they were in the heart of Christmas.

THE BIG FINAL
Every year, the Barcelona Tennis Open is held at the Real Club de Tenis in April. Three years ago, I got two tickets to the final thanks to a TV contest in which I participated. Even though it was a cloudy day and rain had been forecast, there were plenty of fans attending the event. That was no surprise, since nobody wanted to miss the opportunity to witness Rafa Nadal fighting for his 11th title in Barcelona. He was going to face a young and promising greek player called Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Everything (food stands, shops, activities for kids…) was set in the club for the fans to live an amusing day. When the final started, the whole crowd burst into cheers. As the match progressed, everybody was astonished to see Nadal play an almost flawless match.
The final score was 6-2, 6-1, which clearly reflected the big dominance Rafa had shown in every aspect of the game. The day concluded with the trophy ceremony. The crowd went home with a bittersweet feeling, since they were happy with Nadal’s win but felt that a more tight match would have been more exciting.
Summarising, the final was an unforgettable experience for everyone. Although the match was expected to be closer, the crowd had an enjoyable day. It is an experience I will definitely repeat once life goes back to normal.
