How do I recover my TurboTax account?

If you're looking for a way to recover your TurboTax account, this means one of two things. You may still have access to your TurboTax account, but you may not have access to the original account address and need to update it, or you may have forgotten your password. You may not be able to access your account.

You can take the following steps to restore your TurboTax account.

1. Restart your computer

2. Open TurboTax App

3. Go to the "Account Recovery Page". The page will prompt you to reset your password with three steps. You will submit your email. Email, your phone number: Will answer the security question provided by the app. The security issue will be the one you choose when you create an account through the software.

4. After entering the details above, you will be given screen instructions. follow them diligently

5. If you decide to reset your password, you will receive a link and a code by email. You click and follow the link where you enter the code when prompted. If you prefer to reset your password via your phone number, you are going through the dual city authentication process as well.
