If you've forgotten your TurboTax Online user ID or password, follow these simple steps to restore your account within minutes.
View the TurboTax Account Recovery Page
Enter your phone number, user Id, or email address.
Start following the instructions displayed on the screen as soon as you enter the correct email, user ID, or phone number, and you will be guided step by step until you successfully restore your account.
In the process of recovering your account, you will receive either a one-time code to help you recover your TurboTax account or a list of all accounts associated with the information you provided.
If you follow the on-screen instructions exactly and still don't successfully recover your account, make sure to select "Try something else" on the account recovery page. The system will provide you with a wide range of questions to test your identity. If you answer all the questions correctly, you will be automatically logged in to your account.
After restoring your account, be sure to include or update your phone number to increase the security of your account as well as to ease the account recovery process.
