The Clockhouse and New Charlton Community Centre have set up and are running a one year pilot Lego Therapy program for SEN children ages 7-11yrs.
Lego therapy offers numerous benefits for children, particularly those with developmental challenges, social difficulties, or special needs.
The classes will be run on Thursdays at 4.30pm for one hour with our 2 fully certified tutors. Each course will run for 10 weeks throughout the school terms taking into consideration term time breaks. Our first session will be 5th November - 17th December, with the next sessions running in the new term in 2027.
The course is just £3 per session, which can be paid to the Clockhouse either on the day or via bank transfer by the parent/guardian. The fee can be paid weekly or in full before the start of the course.
Each child will be evaluated by our tutors and parents/child would be asked to fill out a short tick box form at the beginning of the course, upon completion of the course we would re evaluate to show the benefits the course has had on the child as well as asking the parent/child to also complete a short form to show how they have enjoyed it and how it has made a difference.
Each child after 10 weeks will receive a certificate as well as a piece of lego art work they have made to keep.
