This is the WFP's new logo. Their last logo was light and dark blue, which made it stand out more than other logos and the blue made it clear it was a democratic leaning party. The bold WF made the point clear.. but it didn't have an image or a visualization of sorts connected to the text, so it also seemed bland and very "white collar", very business-like and just didn't show the true personality of the party.
With their new logo, the circle can signify everyone working together besides their differences, and creating a party where everyone in these new times can feel accepted and heard. The color orange in marketing is often seen as a color that represents a friendly cheerful and confident brand. But it also signifies a call to action. And the color purple is often represented as a creative, imaginative, and wise brand. Both orange and purple are seen in royalty. But purple is hardly ever used in modern politics.
For their new logo they wanted something fresh, bold, and inclusive, that honored and drew from the past while looking towards the future.
