L’institut de Navarcles, adherit al programa europeu Erasmus+, forma part del projecte EST (European Sustainable Tourism) i tindrà lloc des del setembre del 2019 fins l'agost del 2021.

DESCRIPCIÓ DEL PROJECTE

Obertura de les fronteres europees a l’Espai Schengen, reducció de tarifes per vols d’avió, l’atractiu dels creuers: els joves creixen avui amb una gran quantitat de possibilitats de viatjar per Europa i pel món.

Al mateix temps, estem assistint a una jove generació que es preocupa pel nostre planeta i surt pels carrers per demanar accions contra el canvi climàtic. El nostre projecte se centra en el turisme sostenible a les quatre regions escolars participants. Adolescents d’entre 14 i 16 anys d’edat investigaran els desenvolupaments històrics i moderns del turisme a la seva zona d’origen i crearan una visió per al turisme sostenible a Europa. Els resultats dels seus treball es publicaran amb guies turístiques multilingües, que no només ofereixen la seva informació a les quatre escoles del projecte idiomes i anglès,sinó, a més, proporcionarà codis QR que enllacin amb informació addicional per telèfons intel·ligents.

Les quatre escoles del projecte són de zones turístiques que tenen problemes fonamentalment diferents, obstacles i possibilitats per a un turisme sostenible. Aquesta posició ens permet comparar les nostres situacions i així visualitzar una imatge més gran i mirar més enllà dels nostres propis horitzons. D’aquesta manera creiem ser capaços d’aconseguir canvis duraders en el comportament turístic dels participants del projecte i d’impacte en les nostres escoles cap a maneres més sostenibles de realitzar viatges escolars.

A cada escola del projecte es reuniran setmanalment un grup d’uns 25 alumnes. Tenen tasques diverses com investigar, avaluar i presentar informació adequada en els projectes, de forma independent i interdisciplinàriament. Els estudiants també planificaran les seves pròpies visites escolars i viatges a escoles d'estiu anuals com a enfocament personal per portar a la pràctica el coneixement teòric del viatge sostenible.

Durant aquestes visites i el projecte de les escoles d’estiu els estudiants hauran de cooperar amb els seus socis europeus en grups reduïts. Atès que l'anglès serà l'idioma del projecte, no treballaran només les seves competències interculturals, sinó també les comunicacions dels estudiants. La majoria de les vegades es faran servir els mitjans electrònics per a la comunicació, especialment el correu electrònic i el TwinSpace. Això i l'ús innovador de codis QR amb finalitats educatives millorarà les competències TIC dels estudiants.

Pensament crític, creativitat, habilitats lingüístiques, competència digital, tolerància, consciència ecològica, consciència de l’impacte de la UE en les nostres vides i el patrimoni cultural europeu, tots aquests aspectes inclosos en el projecte són habilitats desitjables en el treball europeu actual i futur. També són habilitats essencials per a la ciutadania de la UE i els mitjans per donar forma a un futur de mobilitat sostenible.

Els resultats del projecte es publicaran a la plataforma de resultats Erasmus+. Els tríptics turístics seran presentats a les institucions que recolzen les escoles del projecte com ara les oficines regionals de turisme i especialment la Universitat Gliwice i la Universitat Rhein-Waal que van acordar el seguiment del projecte i donar suport a l’educació dels professors i als tallers d’estudiants. A més, plantejarem presentar les guies turístiques als ajuntaments locals que contribuiran a la sostenibilitat i difusió del resultat del projecte.

Open European borders in the Schengen Area, reduced fares for plane flights, the appeal of cruise ships - young people today grow up with an abundance of possibilities to travel Europe and the world. At the same time we are witnessing a young generation that cares about our planet and takes to the streets to demand action against climate change. Our project bridges both developments and focuses on sustainable tourism in the four participating schools' regions. Teenagers between 14 and 16 years of age will investigate historical and modern developments of tourism in their home area and create a vision for sustainable tourism in Europe. The results of their work will be published in multilingual tourist guides, which do not just offer their information in the four project schools' languages and English, but will furthermore provide QR codes which link to smartphone accessible additional information. The four project schools are from tourist areas which face fundamentally different problems, obstacles and chances for sustainable tourism. This position enables us to compare our situations and thus visualise a greater picture and look beyond our own horizons. In this way we believe to be able to achieve lasting changes in the touristic behaviour of the project participants and impact our schools toward more sustainable ways of conducting school trips. In every project school a group of around 25 students will meet on a weekly basis. They are tasked with researching, assessing and presenting adequate information in projects, independently and interdisciplinarily. Students will also plan their own school visits and trips to annual summer schools as a hands-on approach to bring theoretical knowledge of sustainable travel into practice. During these visits and the summer schools project students will have to cooperate with their European partners in small groups. Since English will be the project's language, this will further not only their intercultural, but also the students' communication skills. Most of the time electronic means will have to be employed for communication, especially e-mail and the TwinSpace. This and the innovative use of QR codes for educational purposes will improve the ICT competences of the students. Critical thinking, creativity, language skills, digital competence, tolerance, ecological consciousness, awareness of the EU's impact on our lives and the European cultural heritage - all of these aspects included in the project are desirable skills in today's and future European working environments. They are also essential abilites for EU citizenship and the means to shape a future of sustainable mobility. The project's results will be published for everyone interested on the Erasmus+ Results Platform. The tourist guides will be presented to the institutions supporting the project schools such as regional tourist offices and especially the University Gliwice and the University Rhein-Waal, which have kindly agreed to monitor the project and support teachers' education and students' workshops. We furthermore plan to present the tourist guides to our local city councils. They will contribute to the sustainability and distribution of the project's result.
