Institut Gallecs, one of the biggest high schools in Catalonia, is located in Can Borrell neighbourhood in Mollet del Vallès. Last year, it celebrated the 25th anniversary of its construction.

The academic year 2022-2023 has a staff of 125-140 teachers to lead 54 groups of students (19 ESO groups, 6 Batxillerat groups, 13 CFGM groups, and 16 CFGS groups) with an open enrolment of approximately 1550 students. 

This year Gallecs started as a high complexity high school according to the Consell Superior d'Avaluació. 

Institut Gallecs, which is a state high school, opts for emotional education, inclusiveness, and social cohesion as structuring elements for our students' education.

With the goal of providing an educational service of quality and accomplish a degree of individual and social human development to allow students to excel in their academic and professional life, INS Gallecs wants to promote social cohesion, respect for the environment, the up-take of new technologies inside the academic and social environment, the personal fulfilment of the student community, teaching staff and non-teaching staff, companies, and the involvement and trust from parents as the other responsable side of the educational process.

Its vision manifests itself in acquiring the social use of catalan as a given fact inside the student community, where new media and communication technologies are common in the learning processes.

Its values are the general interest, students' and their families interests; peace culture, solidarity, dialogue, respect for the individuals' and collective's rights and tolerance among the educational community; the compromise with the Catalan culture and language and the integration of the newcomers; respect for the natural and cultural environment; equity, non-exclusion, cohesion, engagement, democracy, and responsibility; free speech culture, self-improvement, and the promotion of critical thinking and reasoning.
