Stay Homas and their Gotta Be Patient stand for all those who have tried to overcome the uncertainty and fear lived during the coronavirus lockdown with optimism and creativity.
From their rooftop in Barcelona this original band have reached homes all over the world with their humour and their handmade instruments. They have been admired by young and adult people and even some famous singers have sung with them or covered their songs.
To me, Gotta Be Patient, and what it stands for, is the perfect candidate to be the soundtrack of this confinement, not only because of its positive message, but also because of its humble origin.
Me Vale is a single from one of the most famous Catalan singers, Miki Niñez. He became an artist last year when he ended up in a well-deserved sixth positon in Operación Triunfo, a singing talent show.
During this quarantine, he has been working on this secret song and via Twitter and Instagram, he has been dropping hints to create hype among the fans.
The song came up on the 8th of May, and that day it turned out to be my birthday too. That's why I have chosen this song because it will always remind me of my 17th Birthday spent at home.

Now you're asking why I choose this song. Although it should be said that it isn’t a song, it’s a soundtrack.
Apart from the many other songs I’ve been listening during this confinement, I think the one that mark me the most was this one, because I’ve watched a lot of Marvel movies, not all of them, as I’m making notes for the TDR.
These days, when I have some time, I take the opportunity to advance the work and of course also watch the movies because my work is about that.
Maria Eduarda
I’ve chosen this song because it’s the one that, in the future, is going to remind me of the confinement and these days at home.
The most remarkable thing that I’ve done during quarantine is watching all the marvel movies in a row, so that’s what I will personally remember from this experience, especially this song, that is the theme of the avengers and also part of the soundtrack of the movie that has had the biggest impact on me, “avengers: endgame”.
Judit Mateo
For lots of people this song may not have any kind of relationship with the confinement and doesn’t deserve to be in the soundtrack, but for me it does and it is one of the songs that will remind me, in the future, of this quarantine.
I first heard this song during the first month of quarantine and I’ve listened it several times ever since.
Hamakig it’s a pretty cheerful song that has cheered me up during the confinement and has made me want to be in summer, spend time with my friends, partying, go to the swimming pool and, apart from some other things, sunbathing lying in the hammock.
Xènia Zamora
I love this song, I have listened all the days of quarantine and I still do it.
When I listen it, I imagine a story. On this story the protagonist misses being with someone. That is how we exactly felt during the quarantine, we missed all the people we love and, although we wanted to be with them, we couldn’t. Moreover, as the title says, it make me remember “the last time” that I meet my friends, my family, the last time that we spend time together.
I can only say that I love this song and it will make me remember how I missed the people that I love during the hard days of quarantine.

“La petita rambla del poble sec” by Cesk Freixas and Txarango is definitely my confinement song. Not only because I’ve listened to it like a thousand times during these boring days at home, but also because for me is a very encouraging song with the best message that can tell us. It says that we are going to go back to normality and that we are going to do everything we like to do another time with a very lively melody that makes me sing it at the top of my lungs every time.
I’m pretty sure that in a future when I’ll listen to this song, I’ll remember these days of coronavirus and, of course, I’ll sing it another time as loud as possible.

El fin del mundo is a song from a group called La La Love You, a band that I discovered at the beginning of the quarantine. I heard it for the first time on Instagram and since then I haven’t stopped listening to it.
Its content is not related to the confinement but when I listen to this song it puts me in a good mood and it makes me smile. It reminds me of party nights and afternoons laughing with my friends.
This song made me discover a genre of music that I didn’t know I liked. And these new bands and singers make my confinement better.
Jana Galceran
The song that I associate with the confinement on the COVID-19 is Al final tot anirà bé of Doctor Prats.
I like this group a lot, but this song specifically reminds me of confinement, because it sends me a very hopeful message at this time, although it has been published for more than 2 years.
His message sums up that in bad times we have to be strong, and as the title of the song says at the end everything will be fine. We must keep this message in mind as we have to stay positive in order to move forward.

Wake me up is a very popular song, but it is also one of my favorite songs that I've been listening for a long time ago. Here is why I related it to the confinement.
I related this song to the confinement because the lyrics and the title itself sends me a message that after all these weird and long days, everything is going to be over.
There are also some parts of the lyrics that did take my attention and made me reflect on everything that is happening right now. I related it to the confinement. For example: "Wake me up when it's all over", "I can't tell when the journey will end", etc.
I've been listening to Avicii for some time and I still listen to his songs, but unfortunately, he died. I recommend a lot of his songs, they are very beautiful and popular.
Raul G. Filip
I listened this song almost every day during the confinement, it is for this reason that I associate the song with the COVID-19.
I like this song because it reminds me all moments with my friends, party... It just transports me to happy moments and gives me a really good vibe.
I had never really listened to this singer, Chema Rivas, and it also helped me to discover him because he has other songs that I also like.
As i said before it brings back many goods memories, which is why when I listened to it I knew that in the future we would return to normal.
ADA VEGA
This song is the one that most reminds me of confinement for a few reasons. First of all I discovered this one, on a mobile app called "Tik Tok", this application allows all users to create music and entertainment videos in 3-15 seconds.
Since I hear it the first time on the early days of confinement, I can't stop listening to it. I hear it while I do homework, when I do exercise too and when we go out with friends sometimes I also put it on.
This song really captivated me for the rhythm it has and because listening to it made me laugh, it has become quite popular in recent weeks.
Serni Batalla Santacreu
The song Bendiciones by Bad Bunny has been one of the best hits of this quarantine included in the album "Las que no van a salir", thanks to a rhythm that encourages you and makes you want to dance. I have chosen it mainly because these days when I go out for a run it makes me concentrate and it raises my spirits.
I like a lot this singer because he has a lot of good songs and he has put rhythm in this quarantine.
Gerard Algué Font
I chosed this song because it just speaks by herself, it's about this disgusting virus that made us stay a long time in house/jail,those times were vey boring, exausting and very similar because u just do the same things all days, so when I'll chose to listen to this song in future, I will remember how where this times and what I was feeling like and what I went through, but now this song just brings me in a good mood and makes me dance wich is better than this boring quarantine.
I hope y'all enjoy these first phases, be happythat now we have a little of freedom.

I listen to music every single day of the year. For me, it is a way to disconnect. Usually, I listen to many types of songs. I think that each style of music can transmit you lots of feelings; and, normally, depending on what you are living.
I have chosen the song Missil because it transports me to the summer. Moreover, it makes me feel in a very good mood, carrying me calm and happiness.
Probably, you are thinking about why I have selected this song for my best soundtrack. That is why I have listened to it during the confinement to feel that every day that passes is a day less for the summer’s arrival, a kind of freedom.
GEMMA SALUD
I had heard this song (La Cumbia del Coronavirus) in a video of a youtuber called elRubius, where he listened to songs related to COVID-19.
I liked this song because it made me laugh a lot and I thought other people might like it too. In this song he explains how to prevent the virus, the singer says to wash our hands, not to touch our faces much…
I think that the singer transmits a good message for society and explains quite well how to protect us and protect our family and friends from the Coronavirus.
SALAH ACHALHE
It has been hard to decide me because during the confinement I have been listening to many songs but finally I chose Party girl.
Without doubt, this song is the one I've danced to because it has made the most famous dances in the "Tik Tok" application with it. This application has been made viral during the confinement and I have used it a lot because I really like to dance.
I have danced many times this song and I think in a future I will remember in these moments so hard, because thanks to music and especially to the song the confinement has been made me easier and more fun.
MARIA GILABERT
Sopa de Cabra and their Camins is the song that made me disconnect and not remember that we had to be locked in four walls for a indefinite time.
Furthermore moreover the main sentences says “ camins que ara no hi son “as well as “ camins que ja son nous “, they suggest to me faith and hope, also it seems to me that it is already approaching the moment to come back to the daily routines.
All in all Camins is the best song to associate with the confinement, this song is the best therapy, besides it allows me to connect with my emotions and memories and often helps me figure out how I really fell, therefore make me feel the happiest person in the world.
ALBERT RIERA CONDAL
