THE FESTIVAL
The Sustainable Festival is the third mobility of our Erasmus+ project "High Five for the Planet - Breathe in & Work out".
It will take place in INS Cassà de la Selva (Cassà de la Selva, Spain) from the 6th to the 10th of March 2023.
It will host participants from all the countries involved in the project: Finland, Italy, Spain and Sweden.
During the week students will work in cooperative groups to improve their knowledge about healthy and sustainable habits.
The week will finish with the presentation of the final products of all the groups.
COOPERATIVE LEARNING
Cooperative learning involves students working together to accomplish shared goals.
Unlike individual learning, which can be quite competitive, students will cooperate by asking each other for information, thinking of ideas together and keeping track of the team’s work.
Cooperative learning encourages achievement, student discussion, active learning, student confidence and motivation.
ORGANIZATION OF GROUPS
The groups will be made of six students.
In each group there will be at least one person from each country participating in the project.
Visiting students will be in the same group as their hosts.
Each member of the group will have a role. Each group will decide the role of each one according to their skills and strengths.
ROLES OF GROUP MEMBERS
To make sure that everybody participates actively there will be three roles that require people with different skills:
Team manager: Keeps group on task and verifies that all contribute.
Materials manager: Finds out what materials are needed, distributes materials to group and collects/returns materials at the end.
Speaker: Presents the group's ideas to the rest of the class and asks for help.
