Sightseeing tour
On day 4 we went on a sightseeing tour to explore Sofia and its landmarks.
The Bulgarian students went into the role of tour guides for the rest of the students.
We visited many of the famous churches and cathedrals in the city, such as the St. Nedelya Church, the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Church of St. Petka, the Church of St. George and The Russian Church.
We also saw The Parliament, the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", The statue of Sveta Sofia, The Presidency, The Bulgarian National Bank(BNB), The National Assembly, and The Monument to the Tsar Liberator.
And finally, we explored some of Sofia's art and cultural landmarks like The National Art Gallery, The National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" and the National Archeological Museum.
It was a very fun and enlightening experience. We felt great even in the bad weather!
We also created videos of us being tour guides, and a listening comprehension task on the Twinspace page for the Greek and German students, who participated virtually on that day to fill in.
After the sightseeing tour we went to Bulgaria's biggest mall - Paradise Center - to have lunch.
