Monday was our first day at 88th Dimiter Popnikolov School. We got there by underground, we were lots of people; students from Spain, Greece, Slovakia and Romania.
We arrived at 10:30, and they had prepared a welcome with some traditional food, cookies, Pitka (a type of bread. We were welcomed by two girls who wore traditional costumes and had to take a slice from the bread and dip it either in salt or honey according to a Bulgarian tradition.
The principal welcomed us and showed us a little presentation about Bulgaria, talking about sights, traditions, and general information, they also gave us some presents.
After that, we were divided in groups and we visited the school (some classes, the pool, the gym, the canteen). Bulgarian students have been our guides, explaining everything either in English or Spanish.
We also saw the Erasmus + corner at 88th Dimiter Popnikolov school and a special exhibitions on water.
Then we had lunch in a nearby traditional restaurant. It was amazing! We tried some chicken with a yougurt sauce, salad and musaka.
Finally, we split in two different groups (Romania, Spain and some Bulgarian students, Greece, Slovakia and some Bulgarian students) and we took some art lessons, we painted two big and colorful wings. They looked amazing!
Then we played volleyball for 30 min. And we had lots of fun!
