Assistant Director Hannah McDonald has been at Ingram ISD for 6 years, teaching Elementary Music and now full time Middle School and High School Music. She is the assistant band director for the Tom Moore Warrior Marching Band, and Tom Moore Jazz Chieftains.  She also co-teaches the Ingram Middle School Beginner Band and Intermediate Band with Director of Bands, Samuel Bigott

A local gal, Mrs. McDonald graduated from Harper in 2008. Wanting to stay in her favorite spot in the hill country, she attended Schreiner University and received her two Bachelor of Arts in Music and Religion. Mrs. McDonald is also a trombonist of the Symphony of the Hills in Kerrville, TX.

Mrs. McDonald loves spending time with her husband Caleb and their daughter Esther. She is often found walking with her daughter or watching their favorite TV shows and movies curled up on the couch. If she could be anywhere, she'd be swimming at the pool or at the beach! She is so thankful to be a part of the wonderful Ingram ISD family and has loved watching the district show growth and improvement every year!

About the program

The Warrior Band program is a 6th-12th grade music program in Ingram ISD that gives students multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, and has 4 different ensembles of varying skill level, listed below. There are 2-4 concerts per year, including our Fall Concert, Winter Concert, Spring Concert, and the annual Ingram Evening of the Arts.

The Beginner Band is for 1st year band students in Ingram Middle School. Students go from learning about the various instruments in band, to choosing an instrument, learning about the world of music, to playing fully fledged concert band pieces by the end of the year.

The Intermediate Band is for 2nd year band students in Ingram Middle School. Students in this ensemble focus on perfecting and honing the skills learned in their first year, while learning new, more advanced skills. This ensemble participates in UIL Concert/Sightreading in the Spring.

The Warrior Marching Band and Concert Band is for 3rd year band students and older in Ingram Middle School and Tom Moore High School. It is composed of grades 8-12. Students in this ensemble put their learned skills towards UIL Marching in the Fall, and UIL Concert/Sightreading in the Spring.

The Tom Moore Jazz Chieftains is for 4th year band students and older in Tom Moore High School. The Jazz Chieftains play publicly year-round and participate in multiple local gigs. The jazz band participates in multiple festivals and competitions as well.
