Today, May 23, 2022, IISD was informed of one individual from IHS, who received positive test results for COVID-19.

The individual was last on campus May 20th. The individual has been quarantined as outlined in the TEA/CDC guidelines and will not be able to return to school until they have met the safe return health requirements. The positive individual has been asked to follow protocol including not reporting to their campus until they meet the guidelines as specified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

Following the IISD new COVID protocols, this information has been emailed out to the campus in which the positive case occurred as well as was emailed to all staff. All information is then posted on the IISD district webpage for all to see under the COVID-19 tab.

The district has notified the health department as required by law and is working closely with them to complete any case monitoring if needed.

Any of the following symptoms indicate a possible COVID-19 infection:

· Temperature of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher when taken by mouth

· Chills, shaking or exaggerated shivering

· Cough

· Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

· Fatigue

· Headache

· Sore throat

· Diarrhea, vomiting or nausea

The individuals were last on campus January 31st, February 1st, and February 3rd. The individuals have been quarantined as outlined in the TEA/CDC guidelines and will not be able to return to school until they have met the safe return health requirements. Additionally, they have been asked to follow protocol including not reporting to their campus until they meet the guidelines as specified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

The individuals have been quarantined as outlined in the TEA/CDC guidelines and will not be able to return to school until they have met the safe return health requirements. The individuals were last on campus on January 20th, January 24th, and January 25th. The individuals have been quarantined as outlined in the TEA/CDC guidelines and will not be able to return to school until they have met the safe return health requirements. The positive individuals have been asked to follow protocol including not reporting to their campus until they meet the guidelines as specified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

Following the IISD new COVID protocols, this information has been emailed out to the campus in which the positive case occurred as well as was emailed to all staff. All information is then posted on the IISD district webpage for all to see under the COVID-19 tab.
