The Town of Irondequoit has expanded its existing 1988 Waterfront Revitalization Area (WRA) boundary to include lands adjacent to the entire length of the Genesee River within the Town boundary as well as extending the waterside boundary 1,500 feet into Lake Ontario. It should be noted that Durand Eastman Park is not included within Irondequoit's Waterfront Revitalization Area because the Park is located within the City of Rochester municipal boundary and, thus, is outside the Town's jurisdiction. The existing and proposed WRA boundary for the Town of Irondequoit is shown on the map below.
