We offer deep gratitude to the Indigenous leaders, Elders, and community members whose wisdom and lived experiences guide this work. Their teachings ground IHEI in relational accountability and the understanding that knowledge is collective, embodied, and carried through story, land, and kinship. This tool was created through community collaboration and iterative dialogue across Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners. Teachings from IHEI’s Decolonizing Academy, Community of Practice, Community Vetting Sessions, and Decolonizing Assessment Framework form the roots of this document; we honor that lineage and the Indigenous scholars and practitioners who centered self-determination and decolonizing practice before us.
