Indeez respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it.

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide and improve the core features of Indeez, and we describe our data practices here.

By using Indeez, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how Indeez collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you use the Indeez website, mobile applications, and related music-discovery, social, editorial, event, promotion, analytics, and commerce services (collectively, the “Service”).

In this Policy, “Indeez,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of the Service. “Personal data” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with an individual or household. It does not include information that has been lawfully made public or deidentified as defined by applicable law.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data processed through the Service and our related support, safety, verification, communications, and business operations. It does not govern third-party websites, apps, payment services, sellers, ticketing providers, venues, or other services that have their own privacy policies.

Public profile information, comments, music, artwork, metadata, event listings, product listings, and other material you choose to publish can be viewed, copied, linked to, or reshared by others. Do not publish information you want to keep private.

2. Personal Data We Collect

The data we collect depends on which features you use and how you interact with Indeez.

A. Account and profile data

We may collect your name, email address, username, password or authentication credentials, birthdate or age confirmation, profile type, biography, profile image, pronouns, general location, social links, preferences, and other profile details.

For artist, label, venue, seller, or other professional accounts, we may also collect business name, role, authority, contact details, payment or tax-related details, roster or catalog information, and verification records.

B. User content and music data

We collect content you upload or post, such as recordings, compositions, audio files, artwork, images, metadata, track and album details, credits, rights information, rights certifications, profiles, Top 5 selections, playlists, comments, replies, GIFs, links, event listings, and product listings.

Rights and verification records may include uploader identity, account ID, track identifier, ISRC if supplied, metadata, certification text and version, acceptance timestamp, claimed capacity, and related communications or evidence.

C. Activity, discovery, and usage data

We may collect songs displayed, played, skipped, replayed, liked, saved, added to playlists or Top 5 lists, shared, hidden, or reported; searches; follows; profile and listing views; comments and reactions; feature usage; session dates and duration; navigation paths; and interactions with recommendations, advertising, editorial, event, and commerce features.

D. Device, network, and technical data

We may collect IP address, device type, operating system, browser, app version, language, time zone, mobile or advertising identifiers where permitted, cookie or similar identifiers, referring pages, network information, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and security events.

We do not request access to precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, photos, Bluetooth, or push notifications unless a feature needs that permission. Your device will provide a permission request where required, and you can change permissions in device settings. Uploaded audio is content you choose to provide; it is not ambient microphone recording unless a clearly disclosed recording feature is offered and you enable it.

E. Transactions and commerce data

If you buy, sell, subscribe, or use paid features, we and our payment, app-store, seller, fulfillment, shipping, tax, or fraud-prevention providers may process transaction amount, currency, purchase and subscription history, billing and shipping details, payment-method token or limited payment details, refund or chargeback records, tax information, and communications about the transaction.

Indeez may not receive your complete payment-card number when a payment processor or app store handles payment.

F. Communications and support data

We collect messages you send to us, support requests, survey responses, reports, appeals, rights complaints, safety communications, and related attachments. We may record the date, participants, status, and outcome of a support or moderation matter.

G. Identity, rights, safety, and fraud data

Where appropriate, we may collect identity or authority documentation, payment-method verification, signals of duplicate or unauthorized uploads, device and account relationships, suspected fraud indicators, moderation history, blocked-user relationships, complaint records, and evidence needed to protect users or rights holders.

H. Information from other sources

We may receive personal data from:

other users, such as when they tag, report, credit, or communicate about you;
artists, labels, venues, sellers, distributors, representatives, and rights holders;
payment processors, app stores, fulfillment providers, shipping providers, and transaction partners;
authentication, identity-verification, fraud-prevention, moderation, security, analytics, hosting, and support providers;
publicly available sources when needed to verify identity, professional claims, events, rights, or safety; and
business partners when you direct or authorize the disclosure.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We may use personal data to:

create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
provide profiles, full-song playback, Swipe, feeds, search, Top 5, playlists, comments, the Zine, event, analytics, subscription, marketplace, and other requested features;
personalize and improve recommendations, discovery, ranking, search, and user experience;
process purchases, subscriptions, seller activity, fulfillment, refunds, disputes, taxes, and related communications;
verify users, professional roles, upload authority, listings, and transactions;
detect duplicate content, manipulation, spam, fraud, infringement, unsafe conduct, and technical abuse;
moderate content, investigate reports, enforce policies, handle appeals, and protect users, rights holders, Indeez, and the public;
provide support and respond to requests, complaints, and legal notices;
send service announcements, security notices, policy updates, and, where permitted, marketing communications;
measure performance, conduct analytics, test features, troubleshoot, and improve accessibility and reliability;
maintain rights-certification, transaction, consent, acceptance, and audit records;
comply with law, respond to lawful process, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

4. Recommendations, Automated Systems, and AI

Indeez may use automated systems and machine learning to power recommendations, ranking, search, analytics, metadata extraction, duplicate detection, fraud prevention, safety, moderation, and technical operations. These systems may use profile information, catalog metadata, content characteristics, and interaction signals such as plays, skips, likes, saves, and reports.

The ordinary platform license does not authorize Indeez to train a generative-AI model on protected music or other protected user content. If Indeez later proposes such training, it will require a separate, affirmative agreement from the relevant rights holder.

Where applicable law provides rights relating to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, you may contact us to exercise those rights. Ordinary music recommendations generally do not produce those effects.

5. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies

Indeez and service providers may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, pixels, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies to:

keep you signed in and remember preferences;
provide playback, security, load balancing, and core functions;
understand use, diagnose problems, and measure performance;
prevent fraud and abuse; and
support advertising or campaign measurement where implemented and permitted.

Browser and device settings may let you block or delete some technologies, but doing so can affect Service functionality. Mobile operating systems may provide controls for advertising identifiers and cross-app tracking. If legally required, we will provide additional consent or opt-out controls before using nonessential tracking.

Indeez may display contextual or clearly labeled advertising in designated areas, but paid placement is not allowed inside Swipe. If Indeez uses personal data for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or a legally defined sale or sharing, we will provide the notices and choices required by applicable law.

6. How We Disclose Personal Data

We may disclose personal data as follows.

A. At your direction or to the public

We display information and content you make public, including public profiles, music, artwork, metadata, comments, playlists, Top 5 selections, events, and listings. We may disclose information when you direct us to connect with or transact with another person or service.

B. Service providers

We may disclose data to providers that perform services for us, such as hosting, storage, content delivery, playback, security, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, communications, customer support, moderation, identity and rights verification, payment processing, tax, fulfillment, shipping, and fraud prevention. They may use data only to provide contracted services or as otherwise permitted by law.

C. Sellers, buyers, artists, labels, venues, and transaction partners

We may disclose information needed to complete a purchase, fulfill an order, resolve a transaction, verify rights or authority, coordinate an event listing, or address a dispute. For example, a seller may receive a buyer’s name, shipping address, order details, and necessary contact information.

D. App stores and payment providers

Apple, Google, payment processors, banks, and related providers may process purchase, subscription, refund, chargeback, device, and fraud information under their own terms and privacy policies.

E. Legal, safety, and rights protection

We may preserve or disclose data if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; respond to government requests; protect safety; prevent fraud or abuse; enforce our terms; investigate rights complaints; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

F. Corporate transactions

We may disclose or transfer data in connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service. A recipient will be required to handle personal data consistent with applicable law.

G. Deidentified or aggregated information

We may use and disclose information that has been aggregated or deidentified so that it cannot reasonably identify you. We will not attempt to reidentify it except to test our deidentification methods or as permitted by law.

7. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Indeez does not treat a user’s decision to publish content or transact with a seller as a sale of personal data by Indeez. Service-provider disclosures made under appropriate contractual restrictions also are not treated as sales where applicable law provides.

Our practices may evolve as advertising and commerce features launch. If Indeez sells personal data, shares it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or processes it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable law, we will update this Policy, provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or equivalent choice where required, and honor recognized universal opt-out signals where legally required.

Indeez does not knowingly sell or share the personal data of users under 18.

8. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service, preserve account and content history, complete transactions, maintain rights and acceptance records, prevent fraud, protect safety, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations.

Retention periods vary by data type and context. We consider the length of our relationship with you, whether an account or content remains active, legal limitation periods, contractual and statutory duties, sensitivity, safety and fraud risks, and technical backup cycles. When data is no longer needed, we delete, deidentify, or securely isolate it, unless law permits or requires longer retention.

Public content may remain in copies made by other users or third-party search and archival services. Rights certifications, transaction records, infringement records, repeat-infringer records, safety evidence, and legal claims may be retained after account deletion where necessary.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the data and the risks involved. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration will never occur.

You can help by using a strong, unique password; protecting your device and credentials; keeping account information current; and promptly reporting suspected compromise to info@indeez.world.

10. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on the features available, you may be able to:

review and update account or profile information;
choose what profile information and content to publish;
manage follows, playlists, Top 5 selections, comments, blocks, and reports;
change device permissions for notifications, photos, camera, microphone, or location;
unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message, while continuing to receive essential service communications;
control cookies, mobile identifiers, and tracking through browser, device, or in-service settings; and
delete your account through account settings or request deletion at info@indeez.world.

Deleting the app does not delete your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain limited data where permitted or required for transactions, rights records, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, disputes, or enforcement.

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a state privacy law applies to Indeez, you may have the right to:

confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
correct inaccurate personal data;
delete personal data;
obtain a portable copy of personal data you provided;
opt out of sale, targeted advertising, certain sharing, or qualifying profiling;
limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal data;
appeal our denial of a request; and
receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To submit a request, email info@indeez.world with the subject line “Privacy Request” and identify the right you want to exercise. If an in-product request form becomes available, you may use it instead. We will verify your request using information reasonably related to your account and may ask for additional information. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and direct identity verification.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond within the period required by applicable law and provide any regulator-contact information the law requires.

These rights are subject to exceptions. If a law does not apply to Indeez or to the data at issue, we may still respond voluntarily but are not creating a contractual right beyond applicable law.

12. Children and Teens

The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal data, contact info@indeez.world so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal data of users under 18 or use it for targeted advertising. Indeez must adopt additional age, guardian-consent, safety, and privacy procedures before allowing minors to create accounts.

13. International Users

Indeez is currently designed primarily for the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Indeez or its providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

If Indeez offers the Service in a jurisdiction requiring a specific legal basis, transfer mechanism, representative, or additional rights notice, we will provide the required supplemental notice before or when that offering launches.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party sites, media, stores, payment processors, app stores, sellers, ticketing services, shipping providers, social networks, or embedded web views. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use or disclose personal data, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
