His Excellency, the Most Reverend

+ John Paul Luft, StSA

Bishop Luft was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where he grew up with his siblings, being the son of Mark & Diane and currently resides in Houston Texas with his husband, Alberto of 11 years. Educated in the public school system he graduated from Judson Senior High School (Converse, Tex.) and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies from the Baptist University of the Americas (San Antonio, Tex.) and continued into Graduate School having completed his Master of Divinity at the Ordinariate Seminary. Bishop Luft has spent the past 18 years serving as a spiritual care provider in various healthcare settings having completed Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital (San Antonio, Tex.) and Parkland Memorial Hospital (Dallas, Tex.) later becoming board certified.

His episcopal motto: "Minimum Est Multum, Cum Deus Inest" translated: "Little Is Much When God Is In It" serves as his pastoral reminder that God still inhabits every aspect of our apostolic work and charitable endeavor.
