ADONI testbench

This facility simulates the focal plane of an Adaptive Optics 8m-class telescope, where the signal of a pair of sources with tunable constrast and separation can be injected to reproduce realistic observations of a star+planet system. The AO residual turbulence is generated by a peculiar rotating phase screen provided by Lexitek Inc. and calibrated on the basis of real on-sky optical observations performed with the LBT AO system, which provides a final long-exposure Strehl Ratio of about 25%.
