I was born in Fabriano, in the Marche, a medieval town of central Italy, surrounded by green hills. My family origins are in Northern Marche and the Veneto
Padova, a beautiful city in the Veneto, is one of the places where I lived longer, abeit on-and-off in recent years. In this tower, "La Specola", which at some point became an astronomical observatory and today hosts the National Instute of Astrophysics of Italy, I had an office for 18 years.
I also have a home in Madison, Wisconsin, a vibrant college town built around three lakes.
I love walking around Madison's lakes and parks!
This is Haifa, in Northern Israel, where I studied and worked at the Technion during my PhD years. You can see here the golden Baha'i shrine and the harbor.
