GAEA builds on the model published in De Lucia & Blaizot (2007), but many prescriptions have been updated significantly over the past years.  A brief history of the model is shown in the diagram on the left, with the most significant updates highlighted. 

The most recent rendition of our model has been published in De Lucia et al. (2024) and includes all major implementations published in previous years, as sketched in the diagram on the side. This "merged version" is able to reproduce nicely a wide range of observational results including the observed colour/SFR bimodality in the local Universe and the quenched fractions up to z~3. 

We are working on further model extensions and new comparisons with observational results.  Stay tuned!
