The Simons Semester on “Invariant Structures in Groups, Spaces, and Algebras”, scheduled for January 12–February 15, 2026, is a five-week program that will bring together early-career and established researchers working at the intersection of group theory, dynamical systems, representation theory, and operator algebras. The aim is to discuss recent advances, foster new collaborations, and identify future directions and open problems.
The semester will open with a school for graduate students and early-career researchers, to be held in Będlewo (near Poznań, Poland) from January 12–16.
The program will then continue at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN) in Warsaw, where invited lectures, workshops, and collaboration activities will take place over the following weeks.
The semester's schedule will include the conference “Ergodic Group Actions and Unitary Representations III”, which is set to take place at IMPAN from February 2–6.
