Where and how to get there

The conference will take place in IMPAN, located in Jana i Jędrzeja Śniadeckich 8, Warsaw. To reach IMPAN from the airport, the easiest way is to take a bus: preferably take bus 188 (20 min ride + 15 min walk), but bus 175 also works (25 min ride + 20 min walk). For the bus, you can either buy tickets beforehand, use the app Jakdojade or pay using the machine inside the bus.

IMPAN's main entrance will be closed during the conference, you can enter the institute through its back door as in the following picture. This also means that IMPAN's only elevator will not be working.

Local transportation

You can move in Warsaw using metro, bus or tram. The price of a short trip (<20 min) is 3,40 zl and a long trip (<75 min) is 4,40 zl. If you do not have a ticket, you can have a fine on the spot. You can buy paper tickets beforehand, use the app Jakdojade to pay your trips and in some cases you can pay inside (only for bus or tram, as long as it is not already full). We strongly recommend using Jakdojade, it is easy to use and compatible with all means of public transport in Warsaw (bus, tram and metro).

Some places for food and drinks around IMPAN

Breakfast: Most bakeries or cafés, Manekin.

Lunch and dinner: There are many options around IMPAN. Here are some restaurants that we recommend: Uki Green (vegan ramen), Uki Uki (ramen, udon), Wi-Taj (thai), Katmandu (nepalese), U Szwejka (czech), Sofra (mediterranean),  Señor Lucas (tacos). Most restaurants have lunch menus around 30-45 zl. There is also the food hall Hala Koszyki nearby (slightly more expensive, but gives a wider variety of choices). Milk bars are a less expensive option for lunch, but menus are typically only in Polish and the staff may not speak English either. You can also have sandwiches in bakeries (like Lubaszka). For a quick snack, you can go to Żabka or Carrefour Express.

Drinks: Ceska Kozlovna, Poludnik 2.0, U Szwejka (on Monday!), Beer Station Pub.
