In the past few decades, IMPAN has been a center for excellence in mathematics with many prominent mathematics in many areas of mathematics. Many of these of mathematicians have produced many seminal results in analytic aspects of group theory and have made IMPAN into a growing center for group theory. The goal of this conference is to unite group theorists who specialize in analytic methods in group theory as found in IMPAN and elsewhere in Warsaw and Poland and mathematicians who specialize in algebraic methods from throughout the world. This is to foster new connections between these different areas of group theory and introduce new analytic and algebraic techniques to a broad audience of group theory.
