The Eagles competed against the undefeated St Mary Magdalene baseball team in the Championship Game May 11th at Middle Creek Park. The Eagles knew they were battling a bigger, stronger, more experienced team but they showed up as a team and supported one another and played amazing team baseball. Everyone contributed in their way, laying down a bunt, stealing bases, catching fly balls, throwing out base runner in run down between third and home, and battling every pitch thrown. If you were in the stands you would have thought the Eagles were victorious, they celebrated great plays teammates were making and deservedly celebrated playing a complete game against St.MM (first time this season the Monarchs played a complete game)! Coach Fitz, Howell, Davis, and Buckel were positive role models and continually building up each player to be their best self. Congratulations to the Eagles, ICS community is proud of your hard work and dedication.
