To download your videos, log into your echo account by using one of two methods. The first is directly from within Echo360.
Visit http://echo360.org and follow the log in process.
If you have forgotten your Echo360 password, you can still access your materials by going through Moodle.
Log into your Moodle account and open a course with an Echo360 video.
Clicking on the video link may take you directly into your echo account, skipping step #2. See "Alternative Login part 2" for the next step.
The account window that appears using the alternative login method will be very plain. This window is used for determining what term, course and section the video should be assigned.
The content page has tabs on the left side, a search bar at the top and account settings on the top right. The content tabs on the left are:
Navigate to the area that contains the video you wish to download.
Once you have found the video, hover the mouse over the video and an ellipsis will appear.
The method outlined above is the quickest download method. Users interested in previewing the video can click on it to open a viewing pane. Users with similar videos or alternate versions, may wish to preview before downloading to be sure the correct video was selected. Below the video viewing area is a "Download" link.
A small window will open with two graphics. One, a frame of the video and the other a speaker. The speaker is for downloading audio only. The first frame is to download the full video.
Videos should be downloaded in the largest format available, typically 1080p. Once the selection is clicked, the download will begin.
Echo may not appear to do anything during the download process. Depending on the browser the download may show:
Once the 1080p selection is made, click the "Close" button.
Your video will be in your "Downloads" folder. Users may wish to leave this folder open to make it easier when it is time to select the file to upload.
With your Echo360 videos downloaded, the next steps are:
Use the link below or use the sidebar navigation to go to the "I.U. Google account" instructions.
