WELCOME TO IMMACOLATA CLASS PAGES!
To tell you a little more about myself, I grew up in Florissant, Missouri and attended St. Rose Philippine Duchesne for all 8 years of grade school. This is where my passion for Catholic education, service, and a close-knit parish community grew. This passion towards education only heightened throughout my time at Incarnate Word Academy and Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. I graduated Valedictorian in 2022 with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with endorsements in both Special Education and English as a Second Language. In my free time, you could find me at a Cardinals game, on our boat tubing and skiing, running, painting, playing board games, cooking/baking, and eating at our family's favorite local restaurants.
Following my personal educational journey, I started my first job here at Immacolata teaching 2nd grade. Throughout the past few years, I have strived to make sure that each lesson incorporates critical thinking, problem solving, effective communication, differentiation based on the student, real-life connections, and that the students understand why they are learning what they are learning. One of my main beliefs is that teachers are here to instruct students on academics, but also guide them on how to be good people. Our faith can be the main resource and motivation in accomplishing this. Therefore, in religion class and throughout the instruction of the two very exciting and special sacraments they will receive this year (Reconciliation and First Communion), I will put a large emphasis on the goals and purpose of the Catholic Church. The past three years have taught me so much and became greater blessings than I could have imagined. I truly LOVE the Immacolata community and am determined to continue creating a passion for learning, community, and faith throughout your children this upcoming year. Along with having lots of fun and making memories!
