AQUASPECT joined the fourth edition of the Digital Ocean Forum in Brussels (27–28 November 2025). Organised by the European Commission in collaboration with Mercator Ocean International, the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), and SeaScape Belgium, this forum focused on advancing and co-designing the EU Digital Ocean Platform, building on Copernicus Marine and EMODnet Services. As part of this gathering, AQUASPECT engaged with other Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership-funded digital twin projects, and other projects in the Digital Twins of the Ocean (DITTO) community, to showcase how our high-resolution imaging data supports the EU Ocean Pact and the UN Decade of Ocean Science. As the European Digital Twin Ocean (EU DTO) moves from concept to reality, we engaged in discussions on how high-resolution imaging data and automated will be integrated into this shared digital infrastructure to support evidence-based marine management.
