All students have access to the IMC Library collection which includes books, online journals, Research Talks, Case Studies, as well as other resources, and provides a work-space for students.Ā
Students also have free access as community borrowers to the nearby Law Library and Fisher Library at the University of Sydney. For more information please see our librarian.
How do I borrow books from the Library?
Borrowing resources from the IMC library is free; you must come in person to obtain it and present your IMC student card at the front desk.Ā
What are the Library's Opening Hours?Ā
(Mon - FriĀ 10:30 am til 6:00 pm AEDT). If you need to book an appointment, please contact our librarian via library@imc.edu.au Ā
Student Services is here to support you throughout your studies.Ā
We offer several support services to guide you during your time at IMC.Ā This includes personal development workshops and external counselling servicesĀ
We also organise social activities for students throughout the year. This allows students to engage in a social atmosphere and make new friends.Ā

Where can I get information about social activities or field trips?
All students will be emailed details regarding social activities on and off campus during the Term via the weekly newsletters. Make sure you check your student email to find out what events are in store for you.Ā
What do I do if I am not feeling well on campus?
If you are not feeling well on campus, please visit Student Services located in Bay 3.

New students can request to pick up their student ID card after they have uploaded their student photo via the Student Portal.Ā
All students will be required to have their Student ID card on them while attending all IMC classes on campus.Ā
Other uses for your Student ID card include photocopying and printing via the Library computers.Ā
What happens if you lose your ID card?Ā
You will need to apply for a new Student ID card and pay a fee of $15.00AUD via myrecords@imc.edu.auĀ

How can I apply for a copy of my Academic record?
Please email myrecords@imc.edu.au for a copy of your academic record or other transcript documents. Get more information about requesting documents here.
There is a First Aid kit available in each building, and IMC staff immediately respond to any first aid assistance that is needed.Ā
The IT Department is available via itsupport@imc.edu.au
Once a new student is enrolled in their course, they will receive an email from the IT Department detailing how to access the Portal, Student Email and Moodle account.Ā
This email is usually sent within 48 hours of enrolment.Ā
Our IT staff can assist with any of the below enquiries:Ā Access to Student Portal -Ā Access to Moodle - Resetting passwords for Moodle and student email and solving any issues relating to WI-FI connectivity.Ā
How can I log onto my Moodle account and access the Student WiFi network?
Select the network named 'TOP-WiFi'. You will be prompted to enter your student number and password when you visit a website.Ā

For international students, it is very important to know your VISA conditions.Ā
Maintain a full-time study load and know your working hours (4 units/term)
OHSC requirements: Always remember you need to protect your rights. If there are any problems, you can see us or other professional bodies for advice to solve these issues.Ā
All International Students are required to have Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) while studying in Australia.Ā
OSHC is a compulsory requirement, and IMC can help arrange this for all International Students.Ā
The Department of Home Affairs and Border Protection requires that all student visa holders must have Overseas Student Health Cover.Ā
It is important for all new students to collect their healthcare cards at the start of their degree.Ā
Can I work more hours during the holidays?
International students are able to work more hours during Semester breaks.Ā
What can I do if I want to work more hours during the holidays and my employer asks for a letter of approval?
Students can supply a copy of our Academic Calendar to their employers to confirm holidays between terms. You can also ask Student Services for a holiday letter.
