I performed my Professional Practice in the Ecotoxicology lab of Marche Polytechnic University. The research group of this department focuses on studying microplastics and other toxins found in the marine environment and informing people in and outside of the scientific community of the problems and solutions associated with this by informing them about the consequences these toxins have on marine life.

During this Professional Practice, I was able to be part of an experiment from start, almost to the end. I was able to see different parts of analysis, and was able to work with many different people in the lab, who all focused on different things. I gained many new skills and a lot of new knowledge during this Professional Practice, which definitely helped me gain perspective for what I want in the future and what I am most interested in.

The main advantage for me in this Professional Practice is that I gained many new experiences. This involves all the knowledge and skills that I gained, but it also helped with me figuring out what I want to do in my future career. My main aim for this Professional Practice was to gain more information for me about what I am most interested in. Even though I am still not completely sure, this Professional Practice has definitely helped me gain a more complete picture than I had before and I really enjoyed this experience.
