The Brazilian School of Probability (EBP) is a long-standing international event that has been held annually since its inception in 1997. It serves as a prominent forum for the exchange of ideas among researchers and students from Brazil and abroad, fostering scholarly interaction and the dissemination of knowledge within the probability community.
Recognized for its high scientific standards, the EBP regularly features lectures and presentations by some of the most prominent figures in the field of probability. Since its early editions, the event has played a significant role in shaping the research directions and academic development of the Brazilian probability community and beyond. It provides a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment, particularly valuable for young researchers who are introduced to state-of-the-art advances and methodologies.
The EBP 2026 will once again be a great opportunity for the development of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and young scientists, with immense potential to boost their academic careers.
In accordance with tradition, this edition of the EBP will span five days of academic activities, including two minicourses, nine plenary lectures, several contributed talks, and poster sessions.
This edition of the EBP will honor Professor Maria Eulália Vares and celebrate her career spanning more than 40 years, during which she has stood out as one of the leaders of our community and has made invaluable and essential contributions to the development of Probability in Brazil and to its international recognition.
